Nature Study Trail

The current installation resembling a nature study trail refers to the process through which a person takes the path towards cognition and discovers the origins of an image presented to them with the help of vrious sources of information. Whether these are scientific facts or the product of one's imagination, does not matter until we can hold onto them. The essence of a study trail is the journey that everyone experiences - the only questions are that who and what point someone connects to reality. The "landscapes" at the respective stations are meant to evoke an image of the Alps - all this from the cellar of an exhibition space in Budapest is quite unrealistic. While enjoying the classical beauty of the landscape, the daydreaming viewer is disturbed, from time to time, by the trivial, everyday quality and the disappointing actuality of the materials used: all of the natural forms are shaped from the creasing of plastic foil or duct tape - these can also be references to the role of humanity in nature nowadays.
